Gooooooooood Day, Gamers!
I’m delighted to share with you that Megacycle Entertainment turns 7 years old today! It was this day, in 2012, that I began work on a YouTube channel known as Megacycle Entertainment. I started off making (kinda crap) videos of RTS games and games that were more ‘unique’ in my eyes.
My sights weren’t just on YouTube, however. I also began forming a gaming group, a place where people from any ‘walk of life’ could find folks to relax and game with. I would say that we’ve accomplished that goal. On the ME Discord server, we have over 300 members, each from different age groups, countries, cultures and I couldn’t be happier.
Over the last 7 years, we’ve used tons of applications for communications (Team Speak, Skype, Discord) and networking (Evolve, Hamachi, Game Ranger, DynVPN). I’ve also learned a lot from the technical side, as I’ve build the MegacycleBot for our Discord server and I’ve learned Python and many other back-end systems in the process. It’s been a daunting journey, but a rewarding one at that.
As a final note, I want you to know that I still plan to run the Discord, gaming servers and community that I started 7 years ago.
